Christmas Letterette
2009
Greetings, everyone! We'll try
and condense what's been going on during our
first full year of marriage. Janet's been getting
split furloughs with a month or so in the summer
and a month or so in the winter. That's how
we swung it to be married in August last year
(8-8-08).
So in February we took off for Marquette in
Michigan's Upper Penninsula to visit her family. We
had nice visits with friends and family along
the way. While we were there, Brad experienced
his first blizzard,
and how much snow shoveling takes out of a Yooper's life.
Brad's TV job came to life when we got back. Moab's Easter Jeep Safari has many advertisers, and we got caught up financially, and a couple jeep rides too! And of course, it's the beginning of the tourism season, so we both got busy til fall.
Back to Marquette for another visit, and to empty a storage place that Janet had her household belongings. We rented a 26 foot Penske van and towed the car back home to Moab. We have since assimilated it all into the house. Had a great vacation-visit and came back to finish up the Moab website season.
September found us in Phoenix to attend a marriage seminar called N.A.M.E. and visited our good friends Jim and Kay, and cousins Dianne and Butch.
The Thanksgiving holiday went
quietly, with Brad filling in at the Sunset
Grill restaurant and making enough to pretty
much pay for the shopping trip on Black Friday.
Janet went to the movie by
herself, but I got off early and we still had
time for a nice evening.
Proud to say we've gotten almost all of our Christmas cards mailed by Christmas! We wish Eternal Blessings to you and your family, friends, church, etc.
With Love,
Janet and Brad
